Request account deletion

Language Master Myanmar (“we”, “us”) operates the Language Master Myanmar learning platform and mobile applications. If you created an account in our app or on our website, you may request that we delete that account and the personal data we hold about you, subject to the limits described below and in our Privacy policy.

Follow these steps to request that your Language Master Myanmar account and associated data be deleted:

1. Send an email to privacy@languagemastermyanmar.com from the same email address registered on your Language Master Myanmar account.
2. Use the subject line: Account deletion request – Language Master Myanmar.
3. In the message body, include:
   • your full name as shown on the account;
   • your username (if different from your email);
   • the email address linked to the account;
   • a clear statement that you request deletion of your account and associated personal data;
   • whether you use the Language Master Myanmar Android app, iOS app, and/or website.
4. We will verify your identity (for example by confirming ownership of the registered email) before processing the request.
5. After verification, we will confirm receipt and process your request within thirty (30) days, unless a longer period is permitted or required by law (in which case we will tell you).

When your deletion request is approved, we delete or anonymise the following categories of data associated with your Language Master Myanmar account, where we control that data:

• Account profile: name, email address, username, phone number (if provided), organisation, country, and similar profile fields.
• Authentication data: credentials and login identifiers we store for your account (you will no longer be able to sign in).
• Learning activity we hold: enrolment records, course progress, assessment outcomes, certificates, and preferences tied to your user ID on systems we operate, except where retention is required as described in section 4.
• Support communications: support tickets and email threads that are no longer needed for an ongoing dispute, security investigation, or legal obligation.
• Device and marketing preferences: push-notification tokens, marketing opt-in flags, and similar preference data we store for your account.

After deletion is complete, you will need to create a new account if you wish to use Language Master Myanmar again. Prior course progress linked to the deleted account will not be restored.

Some information may be retained after account deletion when we have a legal, security, or financial reason to keep it. In those cases we restrict access and retain only what is necessary:

• Transaction and billing records (for example purchase or invoice metadata processed through payment providers): typically retained for up to seven (7) years, or the period required by tax and accounting law.
• Security and fraud logs (limited technical logs such as IP address, timestamps, and event identifiers): typically retained for up to twelve (12) months, or longer if needed for an active investigation.
• Legal holds and disputes: data needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims may be retained until the matter is resolved and any applicable limitation period expires.
• Anonymised or aggregated analytics that no longer identify you may be kept indefinitely for product improvement.
• Partner LMS or institutional records: where a school, employer, or LMS host independently controls data about your learning activity, their retention rules may also apply. We will request deletion from processors we instruct, but we cannot delete data held solely by an independent controller.

Backups may continue to contain residual copies for a limited backup cycle (typically up to ninety (90) days) after primary deletion, after which they are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a complete request. You will receive a confirmation email when the account has been deleted or when we must refuse or partially refuse (with reasons, where legally allowed).
